- I want to have a sticker on my car that reads: "Your kid may be an honor student but my kid took a nap today!" Logan takes a nap once in a blue moon and man is it awesome to have that 1-2hr rest myself.
- So thankful for such awesome friends to share life with!
- It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I am not happy to be deep cleaning my freezer after a pop can was left in there and exploded (yes...I said Pop...that is how you say it in the north)
- Why I continue to give my kids lip gloss and chapstick in the car is beyond me. I always forget they have it and then I turn around to a scary faced greasy monster that I have to clean up.
- I can always resolve to eat better when I am pregnant but what is the point? I have the rest of my life to eat good. No matter what I do now, I will certainly get bigger. Might as well enjoy those Girl Scout Cookies after all!! Good..I just released myself from the guilt.
- Logan declared that mac-n-cheese cost $3,000 while at the grocery store. I thought it was yellow cheese and it is actually gold that I have been eating all these years.
- In discussing that God is a Spirit and that he doesn't have a body like other people, Logan boldy questioned, "Why doesn't God have a booty?" God has a good sense of humor to give me a kid like her. Sometimes I think she is the funniest person I know (and the most dramatic! ha)

Feb misc
- Think we finally decided on the name Josephine Kate for our new baby girl.lo 27 weeks now and with warmer days to enjoy the sun...I will be feeling great! Dreary cold days make me feel bored, overweight and pale!! Thankfully Spring is around the corner and the kids will get to do more outside activities instead of memorizing cartoons :)
- Love the little friends and cousin bday parties. I am dreading the day when they all go to different schools and talk about different friends that we don't know. Hope they will all stay buds even as they get older and "cooler" ha!
- Lilly and Logan always amaze me that they are so different. Logan will whine and complain if she isn't feeling well and the world will hear about it for days. Lilly just choses not to eat and coughs like she is dying. I will finally take her in to the Dr. and determine she has ear infections and pink eye. Love the coughing so much until you gag routine. How a parent can hear that all night and still roll over and sleep is amazing.
- Lilly is not motivated by sugar like Logan and I. However, I can tell her she can take a bath or wear princess jammies and she will pretty much do whatever I tell her.
- Kirk definately went bed at 7:30pm last night...just thought I would share that
- My idea to go to the park as a family and I fall asleep in the car after Kirk unloads them. It was a nice power nap. Only pregnancy can cause me to be that sleepy instantly (especially on a 65 degree February day on a Saturday).
- How can it be 70 degrees and then 2 days later be snowing?
- I love shoe shopping but buying a size 10 is not so fun!

Parenting Is...

Parenting is...
- Allowing your 2 and 3 year old to "help" you cook after you have already cleaned the kitchen...and then having to clean it all over again.
- Deciding whether the clothing battle with kids is worth it or just giving up so we can be on time
- Wondering how the kids can wake up earlier than me and still not need a nap when I am sleep walking around the house
- Always thinking about sleep...how much I don't have and looking forward to the next time I get to sleep like it's dessert or something
- Having dessert EVERY night because "I deserve it"
- After dinner and clean up and bed, taking a nap while the pie bakes from 9pm-10pm so I will have enough energy to eat it (and spend more time with the hubby before the next daily cycle)
- Knowing that every day is God given and to be appreciated but sometimes it feels like I am in the movie Ground Hogs Day as everything seems like the day before
- Keeping a file of great craft ideas, cooking ideas, decorating ideas and then never looking at them again
- Always deciding to have a meal plan and all my grocery shopping done for the week....and then never doing it
- Continuing to give my 2 year old gum when she asks even though we have had several swallowing and sticky incidents
- Giving my kids mac n cheese, yogurt, gum and chapstick - after my husbands pleads with me not to because of the always constant mess they tend to make with these items
- Waiting until I am driving in the car to talk on the phone and have a "good conversation" - to which I think....this makes parents the worst drivers in the world...talking on the phone, screams in the background, music, videos, snacks to dole out and picking up dropped toys while trying to "focus" on driving
- Always thinking about the next step...when will she roll over, sit up, eat by herself, walk, be potty trained, read...when I should be thinking and appreciating the present
- Saving all my projects for the end of the day because I can't accomplish them during the day but.... choosing to chill with my hubby on the couch and watch a movie instead :)
- Not pacing myself. I take advantage of the "energetic days" by trying to do it all...workout, grocery shop and cook, do crafts, have playdates etc. and then I am worthless the days to follow because I am sore, tired and overworked.
- Realizing that even the parental complaints are overshadowed by a sweet little prayer before a meal from a kid that can barely talk and yet is blushing to be in the spotlight... "Tank u God for Mommy, Daddy, Logie and Me. Amen"
My Feb Cabin Fever Cures
- Stay in your pajamas all day or dress up like a princess
- Eat popcorn and watch a movie (or 4)
- Cover the table and paint endlessly, allowing all the colors in the paint to blend together like plato and not get annoyed by it.
- Have leftover cupcakes for breakfast
- Let the kids take a bath forever while you clean their room (I can still see them)
- Call Grandmas and Grandpas, uncles and aunts
- Update your blog and respond to old emails
- Take pictures and videos of the kids and upload them to FB
- Schedule future play dates
- Read your long overdue book next to the kids while they watch another Dora or Backyardigans
- Pay Bills
- Let the kids make Valentines cookies. I have all day so they can take as long as they want. They are the ones eating them so they can lick every surface and crack every egg and stir everything. Without a rolling pin they can just push the dough down far enough to flatten it out.
- Practice recognizing letters and their sounds and cutting with scissors
- Take the opportunity to make healthy heart shaped pancakes and smoothies with hidden spinach
- Grind some wheat for future bread and pancakes
- Let the kids pick out my clothes to wear (I am not leaving so it doesn't matter)
